About us

In November 2013 the iconic Beach Hotel was purchased by YMCA Dulverton Group, who saw the old hotel as an opportunity to restore the heart of a community. We offer 19 double rooms with both seafront views and exclusive views of West Somerset Heritage Railway. Our stunning location on Minehead seafront puts us at a perfect position to stand as a hub for the local community.

Today, we are fully committed to helping people in our community to shine. We have continually worked with local organisations such as The Talking Café, Positive People and The Hope Centre (to name a few!) We provide a meeting place and working space and offer a community meal for all to attend on the 1^st and 3^rd Wednesday of every month which all encourage local residents and the community to thrive.

We are enthusiastic about showcasing local products throughout our hotel, from food and drink, to the local artist’s work you will see on our walls. We are also proud to be a plastic free champion, sustainability is one of the core values of our hotel and we strive to accomplish this in all we do. The team has supported local beach clean-up events, look out for our updates where you may see some familiar faces taking part in one of our beach clean ups.

Our apprentices are the heart of The Beach Hotel, we work together with a local college to ensure that they get the best training possible. With both hospitality and catering pathways for them to benefit from there is a place for every young person to thrive as a part of the team at The Beach Hotel.

With the Information Centre, Heritage Railway, South West Coast Path and of course the beach at our doorstep, we are the perfect location no matter what the occasion!
